Even though I miss having my little shop opened, one of the things I do enjoy is that there is no pressure as to what I make when I sew - if I actually sew at all. It's a lovely feeling of freedom!
I've been having great fun cutting, stitching and putting together at random a wall hanging for my studio.
"Out of Chaos Comes Creativity"
I find this to be so very true!
A little chaos now and then is not necessarily a bad thing, and some good almost always comes out of it.
NOT that I want any kind of BIG Chaos in my life - no sirree. I've had enough chaos in recent years to last me for quite a while. In the past 2 1/2 years, I've lost my Mom, my Dad, my Aunt (and Godmother), my 15 yr. old dog, Sabrina, and on top of that, had to clean out and prepare my childhood home for sale.
And while I'm certain creativity did come from all that Big Chaos, for right now, I'll be perfectly happy with Little Silly Chaos now and then.
That would be just fine.
You know what I mean - Little Silly Chaos - like your air conditioner breaks in the middle of a 95 degree heatwave - in your house AND your car -
then your chickens cause a huge ruckus in the backyard (which nearly makes your heart jump out of your chest) just because an airplane is flying overhead -
and then you forget to check the back of your dress before coming out of a public restroom, only to discover later that the reason you feel a cool breeze on your rear area is because your dress is tucked in your undies, and you've been walking around that way for quite awhile.
Not sure how much creativity that all brings about, but for now, I'll take it!
Oh, and before I forget, the winner of the sweeter then sweet vintage Doxie pin is...
Please email me with your snail mail address as soon as you can, and your little dog will be on its way. :-) I hope you enjoy him.
Much Love,
Helena
