As I had said yesterday, this vintage and collectibles emporium we went to was like candy for the eyes. I was completely enamored.
I'm afraid my pictures don't do it justice. First of all, it was HUGE, and every time I turned a corner, there was another door which lead to another large section with many rows of more goods.
Another side held a treasure trove of vintage furniture… chippy armoires, enamel top tables, pie safes, old stoves, fireplace mantles. I was a bit weepy, in that we had chosen to use our little car for this trip instead of JW's big ole Ford pick up, so I was unable to bring anything large home with me. A fact that I think JW was quite happy about, although he was extremely patient as I meandered about for hours, and then requested to return again the next day - and the next.
A few pictures...
I'm still lamenting that I did not bring this
lady's bust pin cushion (above) home with me.
I loved her!
My Mom used to love blue and white,
and I remember her having several of these blue and white Dutch shoes
although I don't know whatever happened to them.
It is mostly likely good that this place is 6 hours away from me.
It would be very dangerous for me to live close by.
I hope that I did not bore you with too many pictures. I'll soon share some of the gorgeous goods that I came home with, plus the item I treasure most of all.. that I wound up making JW take me back for 3 times until I finally found the courage to purchase it!
