My Girl is back to school
all the errands of the day have been run
all the laundry has been done.
The opening of my blondie blu Etsy shop
is looming before me.
Time to work.
Many of the Autumn-ish fabrics and linens have been pulled
from my stash and are ready to be made into
new old things.
My Girl and I have started a Happiness Tree
and decided it will live in this corner
on top of a little table that was thrifted for $10
and pained glossy white.
So far, only a few little birdies live in the tree
but we will be adding much more happiness.
Little bits are being moved about
the blu cottage here and there
in preparation for Autumn.
Off to work I go!

Missing My Little Artist today,
since she has entered back into
the Real World...
I decided to venture out to a bit of lonesome thrifting.
She accompanied me all summer
and patiently waited while I sorted through
dozens of sheets and pillowcases
and stacks of mismatched china.
I missed my little thrifting buddy.
Now I was solo.
But, alas, I was able to find some goodies!
Actually I must confess that the pretty bowl on the left
was a giftie from my M.I.L.
But the watercolor bird picture,
the colorful bird figurine
and the lovely tin (whose top and handle
are greatly worn, proof that it was once much loved),
were all today's thrifty finds!
The bird and the tin are my favorites...
I also found a very pretty, never worn,
casual, country girl kinda dress.
But I must wait for better light to take
a picture of it.
Light in the blu cottage in the afternoons
does not cooperate with picture taking.
No matter how much I beg.
