Yes, I know - officially Autumn is still here, but to me, the day after Thanksgiving is the unoffical end of Autumn and the beginning of Winter - and Christmas, of course. Now, I love the Christmas season as much as anyone, and this year is no exception. I'm hosting Christmas at my house for the first time in our almost 8 years of marriage, and I am very excited! But I can't help mourning the end of my most favorite season of all. I love everything about Fall. The warm sun and the cool breeze. The first time you put on a sweater. The smoky smell in the air, and the tast of spiced hot cider. I love the leaves and snuggling in a blanket at night. Pumpkins and Halloween, and having hair that doesn't frizz. I love the smell of wood as my husband loads up the wood burning stove, and I LOVE Thanksgiving dinner. But now, it's time to say goodbye and look forward to Christmas and a brand new year, full of promise and possibilities.
Goodbye Autumn. See you next year!
